P&G Geohazard Solutions executed the construction of a Gabion Wall at the North Portal of the Sumber Yard as part of the Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) Project in Jammu & Kashmir. This wall was constructed as a replacement for the conventional RCC retaining wall initially planned, in order to address the site’s geological sensitivity and the need for a more adaptable and efficient structural solution.
Gabion walls, known for their flexibility, permeability, and ease of construction, are ideal for challenging terrains like the Himalayan region. By choosing this sustainable alternative, P&G not only ensured structural stability and drainage efficiency but also reduced construction time and environmental impact. This project showcases P&G’s capability to deliver smart, site-specific engineering solutions for critical national infrastructure.
