P&G Geohazard Solutions was entrusted with the critical task of mitigating rockfall hazards along the Sevoke–Rangpo rail corridor in Sikkim. This strategically important railway project passes through a highly sensitive Himalayan terrain known for frequent rockfalls, steep slopes, and intense rainfall. These natural conditions posed a significant risk to both construction activities and future railway operations, requiring immediate and robust geohazard mitigation.
To address these challenges, P&G implemented advanced rockfall protection systems that included high-tensile wire mesh, self-drilling anchors, and energy-absorbing barriers. The systems were designed to control falling debris and stabilize unstable rock faces effectively. The successful execution of this project demonstrates P&G’s engineering expertise and its capability to deliver high-performance solutions even in the most complex and geologically fragile environments.
