Gourango Singha brings over 20 years of rich experience in Technical Sales and Business Development, with a strong focus on geospatial technologies and natural hazard mitigation. He began his professional journey with Elcome Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Hexagon Geosystems) as an Application Engineer for 3D Laser Scanning (LiDAR), where he played a pioneering role in introducing LiDAR technology in India. He later co-founded Plant Engineering & Geomatic Services (PEGS), the country’s first dedicated laser scanning service provider, and successfully executed more than 60 laser scanning projects across the globe.
A key milestone in his career was establishing the India operations for Geobrugg AG, a Swiss-based leader in geohazard mitigation systems. Under his leadership, Geobrugg became a prominent and trusted brand in India’s natural hazard protection sector. Mr. Singha holds the distinction of supplying and installing India’s first European Technical Approved (ETA) rockfall barrier at the prestigious Chenani–Nashri Tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir. His expertise extends to the installation of over 200,000 sq.m of flexible slope stabilization systems across India and Sri Lanka.
In 2022, expanding his vision globally, Mr. Singha co-founded Inersia SAR Monitoring S.L., an InSAR-based remote sensing company headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, with operational offices in India, Chile, Mexico, and Peru. Within a remarkably short period, Inersia has served over 40 clients worldwide, offering cutting-edge solutions in ground deformation monitoring. Mr. Singha’s entrepreneurial spirit, technical acumen, and international collaborations continue to drive innovation and excellence in the geohazard and geospatial industry.
