Project Brief
Providing and installation of flexible rockfall barrier of 2000 KJ & 3000 KJ at Ichari HEP, Uttarakhand.
The Ichari Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Tons River located at 13 Km north of Dakpathar in Uttarakhand. The primary purpose of the dam is to generate electricity and it is a run-of-the-river type. The dam diverts water to the Chibro Power Station. The objective of the project was to protect from rockfall and landslide which originates from the upstream of right bank. The project involved installation of 2000 KJ & 3000 KJ rockfall barrier along with supply & installation of high tensile steel wire meshes in combination with self-drilling anchor. The scope of wark also included application of Geosynthetic Composite Cementitious Mat (GCCM).
