Project Brief
Slope Stabilization Works at Marog Portal of Ramban to Banihal Tunnel Project
The project was carried out in order to stabilize the Marog Portal of the Twin Tube Tunnel which is being constructed as part of the Four Laning of Ramban to Banihal Section. The protection system was designed by TechFab India Industries Ltd. and was vetted by Indus Consultrans Pvt. Ltd. The work was executed in two phases, First Phase was carried out for M/s. Kuberaa Project Ltd. & the Second Phase was carried out for M/s. Tata Projects Ltd. The work involved drilling of SDA of 32mm diameter upto a length of 18m and installation of High Tensile Rope Net System, High Tensile Steel Wire Mesh & Erosion Control Mesh. Also, shotcrete was carried out in order to stabilize the portal area.
